Bluitt & Son Funeral Home, formerly Bluitt Funeral Home, was established in 1957 by the late Nathan L. Bluitt, Sr. Mr. Bluitt heard that Kokomo was without a firm to serve the members of the Black Community there and he moved his family to Kokomo in 1957. The firm has given uninterrupted service to the families in that community and Central Indiana for over 59 years. Bluitt & Son is the oldest Minority-owned business in Kokomo and Howard County. It has been solely owned and managed by Nathan L. Bluitt, Jr. since the year 2000.
