Walter L. Johnson, Jr.

Walter L. Johnson, Jr., was born March 8, 1973, to Walter L. Johnson, Sr. and Theresa K. Holloway in Indianapolis, IN.  Walter,  fondly known as "Big Walt", was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Northwest High School.  He was employed in the meat department at Preston Safeway Foods.  He attended Mount Olive Church and was baptized there. Walter was an avid fisherman and loved to help other people.  He also loved preparing food for friends and family.  He was particularly known for his BBQ.   Walter departed this life on July 24, 2017, at the age of 44.  Walter leaves to cherish his memory, his father; Walter L. Johnson, Sr., mother; Theresa K. Mosley, wife; Rhea L. Johnson, sons; Lawson, Ravyon, and Jaiden Johnson, and Jerome Sullivan, daughters; Tearia Johnson, Dymond and Daelynn Jones, and Brittany Sullivan, brother; Brian Johnson, sisters; Angie Brookins and Unique Johnson, and two grandchildren. Visitation:  10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2017  Service:  12:00 p.m. Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 N. Goodlet Ave., Indianapolis.  Burial:  Floral Park Cemetery.  Rev. Theodore Ford, Officiant and Eulogist.
