Rosetta Bodiford, 87, a lifelong resident of Elyria, Ohio received her wings on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Rose was born on November 3, 1931 in Wheelright, Kentucky to parents Leon Mosby Sr. and Annie B. Mosby (Mims). Rose was married to the love of her life Earl Bodiford until his death in 1999. They had five children together and lived in the same home for over 50 years. She was a long-standing member at Second Baptist Church where she served in the ministries of Senior Choir and the Outreach Choir, she truly loved the Lord, her church home and church family. Anyone who knew Rose appreciated her straightforward personality and fearless love and protection of her family. Rose worked several years at Higbees Department Store as a short order cook and she enjoyed traveling, talking on the phone, bowling, cruise ships, and taking casino bus trips. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and shopping for her family. She was proceeded in death by her husband Earl Bodiford, son Brian Keith Bodiford and an infant daughter. Brother’s Leon Mosby Jr. and Eugene Mosby. Sisters, Annabelle Woods-Noble and Ann Rhymes.She leaves to cherish her memory sons Earl Bodiford Jr (Charlene) of Atlanta GA. and Eric Bodiford (Tavia) of Akron OH., Daughter Robin Herring Atkins (Curtis) of Indianapolis IN., Grandchildren, Christopher Bodiford of Elyria OH., Angela Bodiford of Colorado, Kevin Bodiford of Colorado, Jerred Cornwell of Lousville KY. and Justin Cornwell of Los Angeles CA. Great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Hope, Mattea and Anitha. Sisters, Marva Anthony of Huntsville Ala., Irene Corn of Elyria Ohio and brother Rudolph Mosby of Chicago Ill. Friends may call Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 5:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm in the Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Lane 16th Street, Elyria, OH. The Reverend Dr. Carl P. Small will officiate. Burial will be on July 8, 2019 at 9:00 am in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, OH.  Arrangements are being handled by Bluitt and Son Funeral Home, Kokomo, Indiana and Carter Funeral Homes of Elyria, Ohio.
