Marie M. Montez Balls

Marie Montez Balls, was born September 17, 1948 in Oxnard, California, the daughter of Sam Balls and Sarah Hider Walker.   Marie relocated with her family to Indianapolis, Indiana and was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System where she attended school #64 and graduated from Emmerich Manual High School.   Marie was employed with Western Electric during her working years.  In her free time, she enjoyed painting and reading   Marie Balls went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the age of 68.  She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Balls; son, Adrian Whitley; daughters, Sherry and Terry Bonner; and brothers, Sam and Melvin Balls.   She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Lashun Bonner; mother, Sarah Walker; brother, Arthur Balls; sister, Lucille Myers; grandchildren, Ashley Bonner and Lashun Bonner II and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation - Saturday, July 8,  12 noon - 1 p.m.  Service 1 p.m.  Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 3279 Winthrop Avenue.    Burial - New Crown Cemetery.  www.bluittandson.com
