Marianna Davis

Marianna "Lean" Davis was born January 14, 1944 in Meridian, MS to her parents, Earnest Davis, Sr. and Allender Cole Davis.  She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Demmer Cannon, Sr.  Marianna relocated with her family to Indianapolis in 1954.  She was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System where she attended School #26 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.  She also attended Clark College where she studied Business.  She was employed as an assembler by RCA.   Marianna loved the Lord and was a member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church.Marianna Davis departed this life on July 29, 2017 at the age of 73.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sons; Anthony "Doc" Davis, Sr., Eugene "Murdock" Murphy, Jr., and Jeffrey "Puff" Murphy; grandchildren; Anthony Davis, Jr., and Jeffrey Lamont Anderson, brothers; Earnest Davis, Jr., Arthur Lee Davis, Albert Davis and James C. Davis, and sister, Emma Louise Stewart.She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Rhonda Jean Murphy, brothers; Willie Armstrong, Sr. (Julie), Nathaniel Davis, Demmer Cannon, Jr. (Sharon), Melvin Cannon, sisters; Mary Lee Davis, Carrie B. Davis and Earnestine Harris, daughter-in-law; Yzonna, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Visitation:  10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017.  Service:  12:00 p.m.  Justified By Faith Baptist Church, 901 Chester Avenue, Indianapolis.  Pastor J.
