Marcia Ann Campbell, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2020. She was born on Aug. 4, 1944, in Kokomo, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Albert Jackson and Novella (Hogan) Jackson, who preceded her in death.


She was preceded in death by her late husband, Clarence L. Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Douglas (Lola) Hogan; her four brothers, Albert, James, Robert, and Raymond; her son, Ronald Campbell; her stepson, Dezmond Campbell; brothers-in-law, Atrol (Verlene) Campbell, Preston (Marlene) Campbell, Eddie Campbell; sisters-in-law, Ruthie Mae (Elehue) Pittman, Doris (Elijah) Steegal, Lenora Tharp, Gladys Campbell; uncles, Douglas Hogan Jr., Russell Hogan Sr., Jesse Hogan, Robert Hogan Sr., William Hogan; aunts, Lawrene Waggoner, Pearl Ellison.


Marcia graduated from Kokomo High School in 1962. Marcia "Jackson" and Clarence Campbell were united in marriage on Oct. 22, 1966. Marcia worked for General Motors-Delco Electronics from June 13, 1972, until she retired on Aug. 1, 2002.


She accepted Christ early in life and was proud to be a child of God. She fellowshipped in later years as a member of Calvary Temple Church. Marcia was also a member of Women's Aglow Ministries, Kokomo. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, volunteering, shopping, listening to gospel music, helping others, spending quality time with family and friends. She strongly believed in the power of fervent prayer.


She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Dennis, Donald (Cassandra) Campbell; two stepsons, Clarence (Brenda) Campbell, Carlos (Donna) Campbell; daughter/niece, Cherita (Michael) Love; godchildren, Michael Love, Jasmine Love; brothers, John Henry (Jaqueline), Ronald, Thomas (Vanessa), Gary; sisters: Beverly, Roberta, Brenda (Jimmy), Yvonne, Evelyn, Angela; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; matriarch and aunt, Lenora Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, special friends and co-workers.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2019, at Greater Mount Olive Temple, Kokomo, Indiana, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Crown Point Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Services of comfort are entrusted to Bluitt and Son Funeral Home. www.bluittandson.com
