Maggie Lee Brown

Mrs. Maggie Lee Brown, 90, of Indianapolis, transitioned from labor to reward on August 3, 2018.

She was a member of Murchison Temple C.M.E. Church. She and her husband, the now late, Pastor Lovie Brown, were the co-founders of Murchison Temple C.M.E. Church. Mrs. Brown was a part of the Ministers Wives Alliance, the Missionary Board, a Vacation Bible School Teacher and a Stewardess.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.V. Owens and Etoy Burkes Owens; husband, Pastor Lovie Brown; sisters: Leomie Anderson, Lodena Cox, Hattie Rae Fountain, Mattie Mae Williams and Ella Wee Gray.

Mrs. Brown leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, sisters: Lula Mae Fountain, Johnnie Mae Walker and Rosie Lee Logan (George); grandsons, Joshua Montgomery (Amber) and Raymund Montgomery; 6 great grandchildren; caregiver and great nephew, Bennie Owens and a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

The visitation is Saturday, August 18, 2018, 10am - 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing promptly at 12pm at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church. The interment is in Crown Hill Cemetery.
