Juanita McDonald

April 26, 1955 — February 27, 2020

Evangelist Juanita McDonald, age 64 of Indianapolis, Indiana received her wings to Glory on Thursday morning, February 27, 2020.  Juanita is a native of Quitman, Mississippi and relocated to the city of Indianapolis with her family in 1964.  Sister Juanita was a Licensed Missionary, and a member of Serenity The Prince of Peace Church of God in Christ, where she served on various committees including the Culinary Committee.  She was a gifted cook, utilizing her skills to benefit her church.  She was also an entrepreneur selling clothing and proprietor of Juanita's Corner.

Juanita was a nationally known Psalmist, known as the "Songbird of the Midwest".  Her unique brand of ministry brought many souls to Christ.  You did not have to beg her to sing.  She has sang on stage with some of the greatest names in the gospel music industry.  

A Musical Salute will take place Friday evening, March 6, 2020 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the Serenity The Prince of Peace Church of God In Christ, located at 3412 E. Prospect Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.  A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 am with a public visitation from 9:00 am until time of services at Serenity The Prince of Peace Church of God In Christ.  She will be laid to rest in New Crown Cemetery.  Floral tributes may be delivered to the church beginning one hour prior to time of calling.
