Joseph Eugene Murphy, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Eugene Murphy, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana, transitioned from labor to reward on the night of July 29, 2019.

He retired as a Machine Operator from Navistar. Joe loved his family, fishing and was an avid reader and collector.

Those left to cherish his memory and celebrate his life include, children: Joseph E. Murphy, Anthony D. Murphy (Kandace) and Sheri "Missy" Akers; siblings: Frank Murphy, Cleophus Murphy (Heather) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mae Gradis Tinnon or Memphis, Tennessee and Lillie Mae Ward of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren: Dustin Murphy, Jaida Akers, Anthony Murphy, II, Jadyn Akers and Antonia Murphy and a host of extended family and friends. 

The visitation is Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 10am - 12pm with the service at 12pm at Eastside Baptist Church, 2845 Baltimore Avenue, Indianapolis. The interment will immediately follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
