Joe Purcell

WATCH LIVE Joe Purcell 80 transitioned from this life on January 15, 2021. Born in Frankfort IN he was the son of the late Clemmie M. and Mary Jane (Lewis) Purcell. He received his formal education in the Frankfort Public School system graduating from Frankfort Senior High School. After moving to Kokomo he gained employment at Chrysler Corporation where after 46 plus years of service he retired. Of his many loves in life he enjoyed most spending time with his family often hosting family gatherings and working in his yard. He will be forever lovingly remember and missed by his life partner; Sarah J Artis Purcell of Kokomo, sons; Stephen L and Joe M. Jr. Purcell both of Kokomo, sisters Janet Cole and Barbara Purcell both of Indianapolis, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by siblings; Gloria, Betty, Cynthia, Dennis and Terry Purcell. Services will be Thursday, January 21, noon at Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church with calling from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. “Entombment will be in Memorial Park". Officiating will be Pastor William Gary.
