James "Butch" Wade, 75, was born to Willie Jenkins and Dorothy Dunville Wade Williams, on May 13, 1942. He attended Indianapolis Public School #37 and Crispus Attucks High School. James was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He united in Holy matrimony to Treva L. Johnson, June 2, 1964. James retired after 40 years of service from Chrysler in 2004. He was respected for his fairness and diligence as President of UAW Local 550; he genuinely devoted his time and talents to this position. James was a sports enthusiast who loved hunting, fishing, golf, NASCAR, college and professional basketball and football. “Butch” was a proficient bowler and golfer; he participated on a competitive level and won in several categories throughout his lifetime. James departed this life on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Miller’s Manor Rehabilitation Center. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and even more by those who loved him.He is survived by his wife, Treva L. Johnson Wade; two sons, Eric D. (Jackie) Wade and Byron D. Wade; one daughter, Angela “ADub” Wade; grandchildren, Derrick L. Wade, Destiny R. Wade and Myles N. Wade; brothers, Steven (Candi) Wade, Larry (Terez) Williams and Aaron Jenkins; sisters, Doris and Valinda Jenkins, Sylvia and Cynthia Williams; one uncle, Fred McCoy, Jr., one aunt, Fredia Bowman; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and associates.Visitation: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017.
